Reception Manager

Kerryn leads our reception team with grace and professionalism. With years of experience in hospitality, she ensures that every guest receives the highest level of service. Kerryn's dedication to excellence sets the standard for our team, and her warm personality makes guests feel instantly at home. Beyond her role as Reception Manager, Kerryn has a background as a highly-skilled pastry chef and is the proud owner of her company Bunns 'n' Crumbs. Kerryn’s creativity adds an extra touch of magic to the delicious cakes and sweet treats she supplies us with. You simply must try them when you visit South Sands!


Reception Supervisor

Izzy's attention to detail makes her an invaluable member of our reception team. As a supervisor, she oversees daily operations, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs for our guests. Izzy's friendly demeanour and willingness to go above and beyond ensure that guests have a seamless experience during their stay. Izzy also brings her expertise to the bar, where her talent for mixing cocktails shines. Whether she is organising the reception area or shaking up a signature cocktail, Izzy ensures every guest is well taken care of from the moment they arrive.




Makayla is the newest member of the team and a friendly face you will now see behind the reception desk. With her welcoming smile and helpful attitude, Makayla is already part of the team. Ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued, whether assisting with reservations, providing local recommendations, or addressing concerns, she will always go the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.

Patty & Chloe

Extended Reception Team

Both Patty and Chloe are valuable members of our extended reception team. They are always ready with a smile and eager to assist guests at the reception desk whenever needed. Patty is our Restaurant Manager, and she orchestrates the dining experience with finesse and dedication. However, her commitment to providing exceptional service does not end there. Patty seamlessly transitions between overseeing our bustling restaurant and lending a hand at the reception desk, ensuring smooth operations and a warm welcome for every guest.

Chloe, our Restaurant Supervisor, brings her expertise and bubbly personality to the reception desk. She ensures that all guests receive personalised attention and assistance throughout their stay. Beyond her responsibilities in the restaurant, Chloe is a fountain of knowledge for guests seeking local insights, historical tidbits, or recommendations to explore our charming surroundings of Salcombe.

Freya, Amelia and Damiano

Where it all started

The reception desk marks the starting point in Freya, Amelia and Damiano's journey before ascending to their current management roles. Freya is now our General Manager, Amelia is the Marketing Manager, and Damiano is the Assistant Hotel Manager. Despite their elevated positions, they will never forget the invaluable experiences gained from their time as receptionists. You may even catch them behind the desk from time to time!
