TERMS AND CONDITIONS (2023/24)

All our rates quoted are per room per night and are inclusive of accommodation, full English breakfast and VAT, as well as parking, for up to two people sharing (up to four people sharing for all our Beach Suites).

Complimentary car parking is available. Although every reasonable care is taken the hotel cannot take any responsibility regarding guests' cars. (Electric Cars - Two Tesla Car charging points are available (For Tesla's only), all other branded electric cars have access to a 13amp 3 pin plug socket - guests must provide their own charging lead/adapter).

A discount of £15.00 over any advertised rate will be applied to single occupancy bookings when you book direct.

Daily housekeeping is included and 24-hour desk will also be available during your stay.

A minimum of a two-night stay is required all year round in our Beach Suites.

Christmas and New Year Packages may be available on request.

Seasonal offers may be available: please check our website for our best available rates or contact us directly if you want to be informed of our latest offers. Please note that we do offer the same rates and discounts to those of any third-party websites.

Service Charges - A discretionary 12.5% Service Charge is applied to bills in the South Sands Restaurant and Bar. No other service charges are applied as we believe this should always be at the guest’s discretion.

Arrivals and Departures - On day of arrival bookings commence at 3:00pm and rooms need to be vacated by 10:30am on departure day. Late check-out may be arranged at an extra charge, subject to availability on the day.

CCTV - In the public areas CCTV is in operation and video recordings may be made. This activity is carried out for security for our guests and staff.

Some of our rooms are able to fit a cot or an extra bed. Please contact the hotel direct if you require one. A supplement will apply.

It is the guests responsibility to inform us if they are bringing a dog, ahead of arrival - as only limited rooms are dog friendly.

CANCELLATION POLICY

At the point of booking, we will require your credit card details.

Standard Cancellation Policy:

A deposit of 25% of the full amount is required to guarantee a reservation.

Any deposit paid as guarantee is refundable up to a week before the arrival date. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. If you are cancelling the room with less notice than the requested above the full amount of the deposit paid will be liable. We strongly advise having suitable travel insurance in place.

Non-Refundable Cancellation Policy (applies to Non-Refundable Rates):

Full payment of 100% of the stay is required to guarantee a reservation.

This booking and deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. In case of cancellation or no-show the full cost of the stay is liable. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and the Hotel. We strongly advise having suitable travel insurance in place. The hotel reserves the right to occasionally offer special packages or discounts that may have different terms as those quoted above: please make sure you always carefully read your confirmation and contact our team as soon as possible if you have any questions.

Dog Friendly Rooms

 

We love dogs at South Sands and we're happy to accommodate them.

OUR DOG FRIENDLY ROOMS ARE:
We have at least 1 room available in each room category which welcomes dogs (except J Class).
Optimist: Room 23
Enterprise: Room 5, 14, 15, 16
Yawl: Room 12
Dragon: Rooms 7, 11, 17 & 21
Beach Suites: 31, 32, 34, 35

DOG POLICY FOR ROOMS:

  • A charge of £19.50 per dog per night will be applied for dogs staying in the hotel rooms or beach suites.
  • A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per room. In the case of Sea View Rooms (Dragon) and Beach Suites the maximum is 3 dogs.
  • Guests at check in will have to sign the "South Sands Dog Policy" document.
  • A penalty of £150 will be charged if dog is let on bed linen or in the event of dog fouling in the room.

DOG POLICY FOR BAR & RESTAURANT:

  • Dogs are welcome in the bar, lounge and on the terrace on a lead.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or on the furniture; a dog blanket can be provided if asked at reception.
  • There is a dog friendly area in the restaurant.
  • Dog food is not provided.

DOGS ON SOUTH SANDS BEACH
South Sands beach welcomes dogs from October through to May (during summer, access is restricted for dogs).
Neighbouring North Sands beach is all year round, as well as that there are the dramatic coastal paths to go on.

Non-Smoking Rooms

 

Please note that all of our rooms and interior public areas are strictly non-smoking both inside and outside (for rooms with balconies).

Accessible Rooms

 

  • Room 1 is a wheel chair friendly room, accessed on the lower floor of the hotel.
  • Room 2 is one of our Ground Floor Rooms accessed through a separate entrance with a ramp and then two steps up into the room. The room has been designed to be Ambulant Disabled accessible.

Both Room 1 and 2 are as allergy free as possible and both have air conditioning.
