Our inland rooms, named after types of sailing boats, face the valley to the back of the hotel, and our partial sea view rooms offer a glimpse of the South Sands beach. Inland and partial sea rooms vary in size, and details can be found on individual room listings.

Dog Friendly
We are all about waggy tails and sandy paws. With the beach on our doorstep and dog-friendly walks all around, we're the perfect location to bring your four-legged friend. We will welcome your canine companion with a doggy basket that includes their own blanket, bowl and a bag of luxury treats. We’re not just dog-friendly, we’re dog-loving.
As a huge part of your family, your dog can join you throughout the hotel and accompany you for every meal in our designated doggy-friendly sea view area of the restaurant. With dog blankets provided in all public areas, your canine companion will enjoy South Sands just as much as you.

Accessible Rooms
South Sands offers perfect South Devon stay for everyone and our accessible rooms provide the space and comfort for all.
Room 1 on the Ground Floor, offers an inland view and is accessed via a ramp from outside the hotel, making it fully wheelchair accessible. Room 2 has a partial sea view. A small section of The South West Coast Path passes in front of room 2, making it the perfect spot for joining the scenic route.
Room 2 on the Ground Floor, is also accessed via a ramp with 2 steps leading into the room. It has been designed to be Ambulant Disabled accessible.
Both rooms are fully air conditions and as allergy free as possible.

Bring the family together and re-live the nostalgia of beach holidays while creating new memories. Switch off, unwind, and fill your days with as much or as little as you please. With the beach less than a minute’s walk and our scenic position along the South West Coast Path, you can spend your days on the sand, take the dog on an adventure or, in the Summer, hop aboard the ferry to Salcombe.
