Christmas at South Sands

What a fantastic way to see in the new year
We saw the new year in by partaking in the most delicious celebration meal ever. The food was exceptional, cooked to perfection, and of the best quality of which could be expected from such a professional chef and his team. To top it all the waiting staff were attentive, friendly and did everything possible to make the evening special for all, a MASSIVE thanks to all. At the end of the evening we retired to our room, congratulating ourselves on choosing South Sands for our couple of days away. From booking in, and throughout our stay the staff greeted us with genuine warmth ensuring all our needs were met.

I was part of a large group who came for the xmas party last night, as we do most years. We’ve been to the south sands so many times that I have lost count how many, but they never fail to impress. And last night was no exception. Communication is always excellent, as is the food (compliments to the chef and his team). The rooms are delightful and the beds comfy. The staff are just superb, every one of them. Nothing is ever too much trouble and it was so lovely having them join us dancing. They create a professional, attentive and yet family feel to the place. An absolute credit to the hotel. And of course put all that together in the very special location of South Sands, makes it an absolute winner in our books.

We had the privilege to spend the Christmas break at this wonderful hotel.
Everything about our stay was perfect.
All the staff were so helpful and friendly, particularly Millie, Chloe and Jamie but all the staff were incredible.
We enjoyed all the meals provided, great quality and choice of menu, huge congratulations to the kitchen staff.

We went to stay the first time for Christmas which was excellent.The staff were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. As they claim they are very dog friendly.There are wicker baskets at the door with clean dog towels and one to put your dirty towels in. Even Santa Paws visited the dogs on Christmas day.The food was of a good standard and the chef Jonathan was delightful although I think the wine list should be expanded to include countries other than French as its very limited at the moment. Sufficient to say we have booked again for next year
